Cartridge filters are filters that are used in filtration systems to sanitize and purify water supplied by public and private sources, like a municipal source. When using a Cartridge filter, impurities that are present in the original water supply are captured within the filter, based on their micron size (size). Many contaminants can be present in the water supply at different sizes and the filter caries are built to trap these contaminants; therefore filters will capture impurities based on their size (microns).
